Good morning,
When using the astronomy wallpaper, the day/night transitions on the locked screen and background do not
match. I believe this started happening after upgrading, to iOS 16.4, but not certain.
Anybody else noticed this? Any ideas on how to fix this?

Top (locked screen) shows morning, bottom (background) shows evening, for 8:10 AM. The background screen doesn't update.

For me it is the fact that lockscreen will update, and In that sense darken the globe and show city lights but then as I unlock it will go back to lighter image, like going back in time… realy annoying.
I noticed that both wallpapers with earth have the same issue and same simptoms.
Also, as dragoscscc said, if any one knows a good place to report this please be kind and leave a link…
if I am not mistaken it might take Apple month or two for a 16.4.1/16.5 update and that’s a long time to wait with such a annoying issue.
Turn precise location on and it will work.
Tried that before and it didn’t work, tried it again and still no luck. It will reset both the locked screen and wallpaper to show the same time, but it won’t update both continuously after that.
You are right. The only option that works for me now, is to long press on lock screen, switch the wallpaper and then switch the astronomy wallpaper back on.
Switching wallpapers back and forth didn’t work for me. Just resets it as before.
Switched from earth to moon to earth and location/precise location enabled. Didn’t work for me. Resets it, but doesn’t continuously update the background. :(
ios16.4 caused problem with day night Home Screen wallpaper not transitioning. Please fix
This seems to have been fixed with the 16.5 update yesterday. Seems to be working for me for 24 hours now. It was so irritating for sure! How about you? Is it working now?
