Seagate external hard drive not mounting on iMac runner IOS Ventura, 13.3.

I've had to drive for a while now and it was working perfectly until one morning last week where I woke up and it just stopped working.

The Seagate external hard drive will not show up. It appears in the disk utility but I can not access the files. I get the following error message when it tries mounting.

Could not mount “Seagate Backup Plus Drive”. (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error 49153.)

Can someone help me so I don't lose all the files that are on the external hard drive?

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply but unfortunately, that did not work. The funny thing is that if I connect to the drive to my MacBook Pro, that is not running in Ventura. The drive shows up all the files are there and it's working perfectly, but as soon as I connected to my iMac with, Ventura, 13.3. It doesn't show up it says that it has an error the one that I mentioned before. It completely baffles me. I just had to buy a new drive. I copied all the files across via my MacBook Pro and now I am erasing the drive and formatting. I did it really quickly just as a test and after formatting, it shows up perfectly. So now what I'm doing is I'm doing an extensive erase process and format just to be sure everything has gone.
