Fujifilm X-H2 usb tethering

Hi everyone.

I wonder if there is any solution available regarding this hardware problem rather than buying newer iMac.

I have old iMac mid 2011 with USB 2.0 ports and recently bought new camera that has USB 3.2 usb-c port.

Connecting Fujifilm X-H2 to iMac Mid 2011 and using Capture One 23 software for capturing gives me a result of camera not being recognised.

I guess this is due USB port incompatibility but I wonder would, say, Thunderbold 2 to Thunberbolt 3 (USB-C) adapter solve the problem, or new hardware is inevitable ?
