I’ve stepped into a mess. The company I work for needs to replace a 2014 Mac Mini using OS Server. There is a Promise Pegasus2 M4 - 4TB external drive attached. They have purchased a new Mac mini to replace it.

Has anyone had success moving the M4 to a 2023 Mac mini? Some guidance on steps that I need to take, drivers needed etc. would be appreciated.

You will need an adapter to go from a USB-C connector to whatever port you use on the Pegasus (I'm guessing a Apple USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter).

Make sure the Pegasus software is compatible with Apple Silicon and also Ventura (I'm not a fan of the Promise management software for the Pegasus enclosures). You may need to contact Promise to confirm since some companies do not make things clear if "+" or "or newer/later" means the current OS/hardware available from Apple if device is an older product. While you should be able to use the Pegasus unit without the software to access data, you won't be able to manage the enclosure & drives.

I hope that all the external drives with important & unique data are getting backed up since RAID is not a backup.
