Music insists on importing only 10 seconds of this file: Apple MPEG-4 audio - 6.8 MB. It is a seven minute song that plays just fine from the Finder, but gets chopped to ten seconds when imported into Music. Same behavior after several attempts (each attempt proceeded by deleting the song from Music). Same behavior no matter if the import setting is MP3 encoder or AAC encoder. Ideas?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're experiencing issues with a specific music track. When trying to transfer it to, it cuts down to 10 seconds. If so, we'd like to help out and see if we can get this issue sorted out. Try converting the song to a different file format, follow the steps listed here:
On your Mac
1. Open the Apple Music app.
2. In the menu bar, choose Music > Preferences.
3. Click the Files tab, then click Import Settings.
4. Click the menu next to Import Using, then choose the encoding format that you want to convert the song to.
5. Click OK.
6. Select the songs in your library that you want to convert.
7. Choose File > Convert, then Create [format] Version.
New song files appear in your library next to the original files.
