iPrint to a Brother MFC-J6510DW printer
Hi,
I have been printing via iPrint from my Mac Studio for the past 8 months or so, to a Brother MFC-J6510DW printer. A couple of days ago it lost connection and said it was offline. I have checked WLAN settings, which says configuration is correct and ok. I have been in contact with Brother who at first gave me some instructions to follow to fix the issue. They then informed me it was an issue because Apple had changed some Drivers. Is this correct?
When trying to add the printer via System Preferences, I can select my printer however it won't allow me to select anything on the 'Choose a Driver' hence the 'Add' button is greyed out and I can't reinstall the printer.
Any advise please, I seem to be going around in circles and getting nowhere. Is it correct that Apple changed Drivers? and this being the reason why I can no longer add my printer?
I have downloaded the Brother iPrint and Scan app, I can still scan from the printer, with no issues
