Disable Option + f14 shortcut

The method introduced at the following URL allows you to disable Option+F14 on Mac. You enter specific commands in the Terminal.

This method enables you to set canvas rotation (Option+F14) in Photoshop.

Option+ Picture key (the other function of the F-key) opens the Settings for that function.

If you want to use Option-F14, you must hold down the fn key, too.

Or, set the keyboard settings to use all F1, F2, etc as function keys.

By default, you are not pressing the Function key unless you hold down the fn key. If you change the system to use them as F-keys, then you must hold the fn key to get the pictured functions.

I am running into the same problem to after finding out about the option-f13 / option f14 to rotate the canvas in Photoshop. The option-F13 works great, the option-F14 opens up display settings with no option to turn it off in Keyboard shortcuts.

Did you ever figure out a way around this or a way to turn it off?

I called Apple about a month ago, person couldn't figure it out so I got escalated once to a higher support tier, and then they couldn't figure it out either and said they had to escalate it again beyond phone support. They said they would definitely get back to me on the issue. I have yet to hear anything.

Unfortunately, it looks like this shortcut has carried over into Sonoma without being able to turn it off.
