AirPods with Logic Pro

I've been gifted Airpods Pro. When I try to use them with Logic Pro on a M1 MBP, it plays tracks back at half speed (22khz rather than 44.1). So they are maybe worthless in this particular application, at least unless I can figure out how to configure them.

WTF? Am I doing something wrong? Seems odd that Apple would not make this work transparently, since it is their device on their $200 application on their platform.

I guess I should mention—I tested the AirPods with YouTube clip playback on the MBP, and that works OK. It's only Logic Pro that exhibits this bizarre behavior.

Have you selected the pods as the input and output Device in Logic's Preferences/Audio. As mention, Bluetooth is c-r-a-p for pro audio, use a decent audio interface with wired headphones.

For $200 users that upgraded to Logic Pro have had free updates for many, many years.

And the full logic package used to cost $999 before Apple purchased it from eMagic, then $499 and now at $199. The fault lies with bluetooth, not Apple, Logic or the pods.

Thing with ANY bluetooth headphones and ANY DAW is the delay if you're tracking.

There's always an inherent delay due to headphones being bluetooth and if you're trying to track it's impossible.

So, you should be able to get them to work without the issue you are currently getting but once you do, they're useless for any precision timing work.
