ipad won't unlock or touch due to critical alert

How can i take off "home would like to send you critical alerts" from my ipad?

A "Management Critical Alerts in settings" notification came up with the options "Allow" or "Don't Allow" and ever since my Ipad screen has been frozen. No matter what I do; press the power button, I tried to force restart, It will not come off. I can't put in my pass code or anything. What should I do?

Begin with a forced-restart of your iPad:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

After restart, update your iPad to iPadOS 16.4.1.

I had the same issue. I followed the instructions I was finding for a force restart, but nothing happened. It remained frozen with that message on the screen. I thought I was going to have to go into the Apple Store. I had called support and that is what they suggested after hearing the steps I had taken. But I found a way around it. I located my phone with the another device on the Find My iPhone app, and I erased my iPhone using the app and then was able to restore it from a saved iCloud backup! I used a back up from last week, instead of one from yesterday being a bit concerned that I might just restore the issue. So far so good. I am up and running with no problems.

SO I CALLED APPLE AND THEY WALKED ME THROUGH IT !

So I have the iPad 10 Gen depending on yours you may have to call bc other ones have different buttons.

so first step press the volume up button once then press the volume down button once and HOLD THE POWER button until

you see the apple logo! And when you see the logo , let go and voila ! You have your screen back!

IF FORCE RELOAD DOESN’T WORK!

I had this same notification pop up on my ipad and it wouldn’t go away and wouldn’t let me force shut down my ipad. No matter what I tried, it wouldn’t let me turn off my tablet because the notification basically prevented my tablet from doing anything. What ended up working for me was actually forcing screenshots because for some reason, I could still do screenshots. I basically spammed as many screenshots as possible with idea that maybe my ipad would just reload itself and it actually worked!! Within seconds of me mashing the screenshot button (which in my case was the power button and one of the volume buttons simultaneously) my tablet reloaded itself. I have no idea why it worked but it did. Side note: I now have like 50 screenshots of this notification.

Here is a set by step IF you have the home button on your I pad

1, Hold home buttons and Siri will show up

2, While holding the button press the volume up and then the volume down

3, STILL while holding the home button hold the off button till it turns off

my brothers iPad did the same and I had to do this to turn it back on I hope this helped!
