iCloud says my payment method has expired and to update payment

Icloud is saying my payment method has expired and is asking me to update my payment details. My question is , is this a scam.

I’m getting the same icon and message in my phone settings but I know the card is still valid and I’ve made no changes to anything recently at all…was yours resolved?

The card needs to be added to your Apple ID for use with iCloud. Being only in Wallet will not do anything.


What happened when you tried to update the card for iCloud exactly?


Did you follow the steps in the support document linked in previous replies?
