Password Backup and verification codes for two factor authentication

I back up my phone to my computer with iTunes and it's encrypted. I want to start using the "add verification code" under "Passwords" for two factor authentication for the passwords that it's available for.

Will the verification codes also be backed up?

If I get a new phone and set it up from my back up will the verification codes be restored along with the passwords to the new phone?

iOS 16.4.1

iPhone 11

Apple ID verification codes are neither backed up nor they are transferred between devices.

However, you can use iCloud Keychain to store backup passwords which can be used on all devices that use the same Apple ID.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean the password for my Apple ID. I meant the passwords for my various online accounts. When I do the encrypted backup to my computer I know that it backs up the passwords. I don't back up to iCloud.

I just want to know if it also backs up the verification codes used for two factor authentication .

Under "settings" then "passwords" when you click a saved password there's an option to "set up Verification Code". Then you can scan a QR code to set it up.

I know that the passwords get backed up when I do an encrypted back up with iTunes to my computer but I just want to make sure that the added verification codes do also.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Thanks for your help.
