“accessory not supported” keyboard on ipad pro 12.9 (2nd gen)

i see this is a common problem and i just solved it- at least for my setup. having taken all the other corrective measures to no avail, i just discovered by fluke that if i bend the ipad itself backward to put pressure on the connectors in a different way than usual- the keyboard works! hallelujah! this has been an ongoing problem but this solution has born out over time so i’m happy to present to the rest of the frustrated apple keyboard users :)

Fix I used (WD-40 brand) Electrical Contact Cleaner, sprayed it on a paper towel, and then wiped it on the 3 contact points on the back of my iPad and the keyboard. Problem Solved. My Keyboard is working like normal.

iPad Pro Keyboard "This accessory is not supported by this device" iPad Pro Keyboard "This accessory is not supported by this device" any updates on this? I’m the latest victim. Apple support are wonderfully polite but offer no resolution other than throwing it in the garbage and buying a new keyboard. It’s net poor design. I could send it into the local Apple agent, but would need to spend $100 to receive an estimate of repair cost. And it’s common knowledge that Magic Keyboard is not repairable.

Apple iPad Pro (2nd gen) with a folding Apple keyboard that magnetically attaches to the iPad. Lately when using the Apple keyboard, I sometimes get an error message stating “ACCESSORY NOT SUPPORTED”. I tried using Deoxit contact cleaner, but that does not seem to make any difference. Any thoughts?
