Missing events with Exchange - Calendar integration

I have the MacOS Calendar app configured with an Exchange account. All of my events show up except for series which are configured to occur on the last <X> of every month. The first event of those series does appear, but all further events are missing. The behavior is the same whether I create the series in Exchange myself or if I'm an invitee on the series.

NB: the events do show up in Outlook (so it's not an issue in Exchange) -- it's just the Calendar app that has the issue.

I'd love any thoughts or suggestions of how to fix the issue, given that I can't change the series scheduling and vastly prefer the MacOS calendar interface to Outlook.
