Extremely slow external SSD read and write speed after Ventura update
1, has anyone had this problem?
2, how easy is it to go back to Monterey as this laptop is critical for my work,
3, any possible solutions?

You may want to run DriveDx (trial period available) to check the health of the SSD and posting the report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper. To check the health of an external drive will require installing a special USB driver. I don't know how much health information a Kingston SSD will provide, but there is a chance it could provide a clue.
You may also want to run EtreCheck and post the report here so we can see if maybe you have some third party software installed which may be interfering with the normal operation of macOS.
Have you tried using another USB port especially (if a laptop, especially a port on the other side)?
Make sure to connect the SSD directly to the Mac and disconnect all other external devices in case one of them is causing a problem.

Read AND Write speeds in the neighborhood of 50 G Bytes/sec suggest you have connected with, or your Hub has reverted to, USB-2 speeds.
Menu > about this mac > (systems report) > USB
can tell you the details. the TEXT is selectable, and can easily be pasted back here for analysis. Or screenshot, but that is a little more complicated.

@HwTech thanks for asnwer.
With DriveDx it asking to install third pary kernel extensions.
I did mention that in my initial post when I suggested using DriveDx to check the health of the external SSD. Unfortunately macOS does not include a USB driver which allows for the proper communication with an external drive to access the external drive's health information. It is Ok if you don't want to install the driver as I do understand. However, not seeing the SSD's health information limits us since there isn't too much else we can do beyond my other suggestions.
If you have access to a Windows or Linux system, then it is possible to check the health of the external SSD (no extra driver needed). I can provide instructions if needed.
Regarding to "Ventura update" I mean from Monterey to Ventura upgrade. (All Ventura versions)
There is a good chance some third party software is not working well with Ventura, so an EtreCheck report may be useful.
I thinked that with the new updates apple will fix the issue. :(
Who knows if or when that may happen since Apple rarely acknowledges any known issues.
Make sure to try the other suggestions in my last post as well.
the only idea still outstanding is HWTech's suggestion to use DriveDx.
That uses detailed SMART data the drive keeps on hand, and may be able to report on the health of the drive, such as Bad blocks or other issues.
You should also post an EtreCheck report as well in case some third party software is the problem.
Have you tried using another USB-C cable which supports USB3/4?
When you mentioned a "Ventura update". What do you mean? 13.3.1 to 13.4? or do you mean more like 12.x to 13.x?
Does the issue occur with any other external SSD?

what speed is the USB port reporting, and does the drive report supporting TRIM ?
(you can select the TEXT and post it back here if it seems at all confusing.)
Same here. when i bought everything (M1 + Hubs)and set it all up i was getting 400+MB/s.
I noticed after updating to 12.6.6 this week in Monterey something was wrong.
Now my SSD reads and writes at 37 MB/s
Also my first hub i bought that worked great before but i did not like the style with the wire lead, does not detect my SSDs anymore. Tried different cables, ran first aid and checked the about this mac/USB. I did not see a entry for trim.
Reads AND Writes slow, or just Writes very slow ??

your device says it is a SATA Bridge device, capable of up to 480 M bits/sec, equivalent to about 48 M Bytes/sec. That is as fast as many Rotating magnetic drives, but likely not as fast as many SSD devices.
Earlier it worked at a speed 800 mg tested with Black image disk speed.
Also adding image of device. It's not an USB device it's working with typeC.

Read and writes slow, 5megabits but earlier it was a 800-900mb.
based on that, its not a USB-2 issue.
10 Giga bits/sec is 10,000 M bits/sec and at 8/10 encoding and overhead, that's roughly 1,000 M Bytes/sec capability of the BUS.
Yes, the question is that I only get 25 megabits. And thanks for the answer.
