adapter for wireless mouse and keyboard receivers

Is there an adapter that I can use for my wireless mouse and wireless keyboard receivers? I have them plugged into a Belkin powered USB 4 port adapter. The adapter must be close to the keyboard and mouse to work well. Thought it might be best to plug straight into the computer with an adapter, prefer 1 adapter with to connections. my iMac has two usb 3 ports and two usb thunderbolt 4 ports.

Thank you for looking into this. The first reference seems quite involved for me and maybe it will work on my iMac. The second may be an answer and I'll look into how it all connects and the connections are a puzzle to me at times. I tried a whole new setup with a Logitech ergo keyboard and mouse connection via bluetooth. They work great but the keyboard with the number pad to the right required me to move my mouse pad and mouse to the right and ergonomically my right arm will suffer. So, the expensive Logitech devices will be returned, too bad, because they worked well, expensive, but well. So, I'm back with the Microsoft keyboard and mouse.

I'll wait a bit and see if anyone else has a solution.
