When exiting full screen, app minimizes

When exiting full screen on the Apple TV app, the video continues playing in the background. Once I quit and restart the Apple TV app, it no longer does this. Is this some bug in the software? There minimize button is grayed out when in full screen, so I don't see how I could be unintentionally doing this.

Fullscreen Issue - Apple TV Application on MacBook Whenever I am in fullscreen mode on the Apple TV application on my MacBook and I receive a phone call the video completely disappears and I cannot get it to come back up without forcing the app to quit. Also, the same issue happens if I use the ESC key to exit fullscreen. Is this a bug or a feature? If this is intentional is there a shortcut key to reopen the video? why is navigating Apple TV so hard? Why is getting back to the main screen almost impossible, unless you just kill the app and start over? You can press on a program, and decide it’s not the one only to be trapped in that program with no way out, the back button does nothing, only end works, which kills the app and you start all over. It’s really annoying! why not an back arrow like Netflix has? Simple but effective. this is not for the Apple TV streamer device, but the app on a TV. You use the remote of the TV to control the app.

Apple TV app My Apple TV app is no longer showing full screen for any shows. There used to be a bi-directional arrow icon that would expand the picture to full screen but that has disappeared, I think with iPad OS 16.2, and it has not been fixed by update 16.3. can anyone help?

How is the User Exiting Full Screen Mode in Apple TV Application ?

When in Full Screen Mode of Apple TV - Yes the Mouse Over Top Left of TV App will only present 1 - Close or 2 - Exit Full Screen Mode

That is by Apple Design
