Purchased app subscription through apple and want to manage/ update subscription

On December 2022, I purchased Beachbody on demand for 12 months-only subscription through an apple account of my husband. As of March 2023, beachbody upgraded to BODi. I am interested in upgrading to BODi, so I communicated with beachbody customer service and told me to manage my subscription through Apple. However, when doing so, there is no option to manage or upgrade the subscription only the "cancel" option.
-Does that mean I have to cancel subscription and then purchase again BODi ?
-If that is the case, will I lose all my money or will I get a refund? How certain will I get a refund after I cancel it?
I do not want to cancel it, just upgrade it.
