Microsoft office not working

Just updated my ios to catalina so screen share would work and now microsoft office doesn't work? I'm hating apple right now, this is causing so much stress and frustration.

Apparently I can't update Office unless I update to the next operating software, but I'm afraid I'll lose something else. Anyone know how to make Office work again without updating again?
