2013 Apple 27” iMac with wireless mouse and keyboard. Do I use the lightning cord from my iPhone 12 Pro to charge them, then pair them both to iMac?

and wireless Magic Mouse 2

and wireless A1843 Magic Keyboard …do I use my lightning cord from my iPhone 12 Pro to charge the mouse and keyboard then try to pair them to the iMac?

At a loss…?

Yes, that will work. Further information is provided in Recharge the built-in battery in your Apple keyboard, mouse, or trackpad which states:

"Charge your device

To charge your device's battery, connect a Lightning to USB cable to its Lightning port, then connect the other end of the cable to your Mac or a USB power adapter. For the fastest battery charging performance, make sure your device is on while charging.

Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad can be used while charging. Magic Mouse is unavailable for use while charging."
