I dont know why Apple support isn’t the sharing the right answer. Because if the number and length of videos, they get compressed.

To send the videos in the best quality:

  • don’t start in iMessage—> go to photos app —> select the videos you would like to share —> click share icon —> on the top click “options” —> “send as” —> individual videos or better as iCloud link

Hi there WanderinginLA!

It's possible that the settings for Messages or video on your iPhone 13 Pro Max may need to be adjusted to prevent the issue of blurry videos. Here are a few things you can try:

  • Check the video resolution: When you send a video through Messages, the resolution of the video may be compressed to reduce the file size, which can result in a loss of quality. Check the resolution of the original video file by going to the Photos app, selecting the video, and tapping the "Info" button to see the resolution. If the resolution is high, try sending the video through another messaging app or email to see if the issue persists.
  • Check your internet connection: If your internet connection is slow or unstable, it can affect the quality of the video you send through Messages. Try switching to a different network, such as Wi-Fi or cellular data, to see if that improves the video quality.
  • Adjust the video quality settings: You can adjust the video quality settings in the camera app to ensure that videos are recorded at the highest quality possible. Go to Settings > Camera > Record Video, and select the highest resolution and frame rate available.
  • Reset your iPhone's settings: If none of the above solutions work, you may want to try resetting your iPhone's settings to their default values. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Note that this will erase your customized settings, but it won't delete any of your data or apps.

Keep me posted,

If you're experiencing a decrease in video quality when sending videos through the Messages app on your iPhone 13 Pro Max, there are a few potential factors that could be causing this issue. Here are some steps you can take to address it:

  1. Check the cellular or Wi-Fi connection: A weak or unstable network connection can result in reduced video quality. Ensure that you have a strong and stable cellular or Wi-Fi connection before sending videos through Messages.
  2. Review video quality settings: In the Settings app on your iPhone, go to "Photos" and then "Camera." Make sure that the "Record Video" setting is set to the highest quality available (e.g., 4K at 60 fps). This ensures that the videos you capture are in the best possible quality.
  3. Compress videos manually: By default, the Messages app may automatically compress videos to reduce file size when sending them. However, this compression can also affect video quality. To maintain better quality, you can manually compress the video before sending it using a third-party app or video editing tool. This allows you to control the level of compression and maintain better video quality.
  4. Limit video duration: Long videos tend to have larger file sizes and may be more prone to compression when sent through Messages. If possible, consider trimming or splitting longer videos into smaller segments before sending them.
  5. Enable Low-Quality Image Mode (MMS): In the Messages settings on your iPhone, under "Low Quality Image Mode," you can enable this option to reduce the file size of images and videos sent through Messages. However, keep in mind that enabling this option will result in reduced video quality.

It's worth noting that video compression is a common practice when sending videos through messaging apps to reduce file size and improve transfer speeds. This compression can lead to a decrease in video quality. If you require high-quality video sharing, consider using alternative methods like cloud storage services or sharing videos directly through email.

By reviewing these settings and considering the factors mentioned above, you can optimize the video quality when sending videos through the Messages app on your iPhone 13 Pro Max.
