syncing delete email on iphone and on mac laptop at same time

How do I delete emails on all my devices

I have a Mac laptop and Iphone 12 pro max - I would like to delete an email on one device and have it delete on all. I thought that I could do that with my icloud account? I have tried several times to do this and pretty well ready to give up. How do I achieve this function.? I am tired of deleting emails on my iphone and then having to delete the same messages on my mac laptop. PLEASE - someone with way more technical experience than me (which is just about everybody) help me!

Hey there, 2G4ever,

Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.

Your email should definitely be syncing between devices if you're using iCloud. However, if you are using a third-party account like Gmail or Yahoo for example, the items you delete may not necessarily sync between all of your devices as that would depend on the email service provider itself. We have some information that should help, however, which we're going to share below.

This article here goes over the steps to sign in to your iCloud account for Mail on all of your devices. It includes steps to ensure that your mail is syncing between devices so that messages you delete on one device are deleted on all of your devices. Here is where to start: Set up iCloud Mail on all your devices - Apple Support

If you are using a third-party email client as we mentioned above, then you would want to reach out directly to the provider of that account so that they can help you get everything syncing between your devices.

We hope that this information is helpful.

Have a great day!
