Hello catcallicutt,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're getting prompted a specific error message when trying to just the Music app. If so, we'd like to help out and recommend some troubleshooting steps you can try. These steps will help further isolate this issue and possibly help sort it out. Let's start off by following these steps below:

1.) Make sure you're not using any VPNs with your device. This can sometimes cause interference with certain features: Check VPN (Virtual Private Network) and third-party software to help resolve network connectivity issues - Apple Support

2.) Install any pending updates that might be available for your iPhone. Updates do include various fixes: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If the basic steps above fail to sort out your issue, we recommend that you try the following steps below:

1.) Navigate to Settings > [your name] > Media & Purchases and tap on that option.

2.) Select Sign Out. This step will remove songs, movies and other purchases that you've downloaded for offline use.

3.) After you've signed out, please restart your iPhone. Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

4.) Once your iPhone has restarted, please sign back in your Media & Purchases settings.

Feel free to keep us posted on your results. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Cheers.
