Car aux can play music but not calls

Hi guys, I switched yesterday from an iPhone SE first generation to an iPhone 13 Mini and I have really weird situation; when I connect my iPhone to the car with aux to lightning cable - I can play music on my phone perfectly through car speakers but calls doesn’t even connect to car speakers… on my previous iPhone SE I had aux to aux cable and it played also music and also connected calls and I could talk and hear them from car speakers, but with my new iPhone I won’t be able to do that… I’ve found this situation so frustrating.. Is there anything I can do to fix that?
