How to initiate a backup of an iphone on my icloud+ Family Sharing

Daughter's phone is connected to my icloud+ family sharing and has backed up in the past but not for a few weeks. Her phone has to be reset because she forgot her phone pin code and also her apple id password.

Before wiping her phone, we want to ensure that everything has been backed up, but can't get into the phone to initiate the backup.

Is there a way to initiate the backup from another device, or from icloud?

No. If she cannot access the device there is no way to start a backup.

However, if the device has not been powered off, she may be able to simply plug it in overnight to make a iCloud backup -- no guarantee if the device is under a security lock but generally an iCloud backup will initiate when powered and left alone.
