Safari browser on IOS 12 and above suspended when switch app.

Hello Everyone,

I am facing an issue on devices (iPhone) with IOS 12 or above that when switched to another app from Safari browser and then redirects back to the main Safari browser window, the Safari browser already lost the connection and goes into the suspended state. I have searched regarding similar issues reported but have not been able to find much. Only one issue regarding this is reported but no updates found on the said issue:

Any help/ updates on the said issue will be highly appreciated.

Hey MuddassirAwan,

Do you have 'Background App Refresh' mode enabled? This might help but doesn't guarantee that all websites will stay connected through Safari. Depending on the website you visit, some sites will be suspended due to inactivity. As shown on the community post you shared, we also recommend that you review this article: Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks for your reply.

I checked the Background App Refresh setting, it was already ON.

As we can see there is no separate Safari entry to enable Background App Refresh.

Background App Refresh set to On did not make a difference.
