Fitness app not showing distance traveled or on Apple Watch or in fitness app.

Same with me , I’ve turned on location tracking for fitness and restarted my iPhone 14 multiple times. How do I fix this issue?

Hey, i have this same issue. It’s showing calories used, but not steps or distance. Were you ever able to figure it out?

I too have this problem just recently. What I did was restart my phone, open the app, click on the circle which opened another window showing distance, steps & Voila it loaded & now working.

Put “distance” in your favorite list on your “health” app.

mine stopped showing steps / distance on 31 Jan 2023.

having read what people said here I started using pacer app which I had already installed and as soon as I opened pacer it updated the data from the phone. Then I went back in to Fitness app and lo and behold all back to normal, all missing data was restored for last few days.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

This is what they do with new updates to the app. Shame on you apple

Simple fix. Downloaded another app (e.g. pedometer), as soon as that apps' working, apple fitness worked as well, guess it needs a nudge 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mine shows distance when the workout is over but not during the workout. The whole point of fitness is to let me know how far I have ran while I am running so I can either turnaround or go further. And there is no WORKOUT VIEW anymore. Even Apple Support couldn’t help me. They just told me to report to developers. So exasperating.

As previously suggested. Restarted phone. Opened app, tapped on circle-danged if steps/distance didn’t immediately return. Kudos to/for suggestion.

I also experienced the same problem, the distance was no longer displayed, the steps were seen, but the distance was always zero.

I solved the problem by deleting the app and installing it again. now it works

My Fitness app on my iPhone is not showing my steps or any other data-help!
