Any chance to play an .mp3 soundfile in an interactive .pdf ?

ADOBE InDesign comes up with exporting options for interactive .pdfs playing sounds on page-load :

It seems PREVIEW (at least on MacOS Monterey) cannot read/play those sounds.

In Preview, can I listen to sound files i… - Apple Community

…2023 : playing an .mp3 in an interactive .pdf seems still being an issue.

Is there any plan for PREVIEW to read/play sounds in interactive .pdfs, as a default behaviour, in the next future ?

This would simplify things – as there would be no need to switch to ACROBAT.

Any MAC user could experience embedded sounds instead of missing them.

Small step – Great enhancement – What do you think ?

Adobe is heliocentric in that they assume that if you are using one of their tools (e.g. InDesign) that you are also using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC which can also add or play embedded audio. In order to play that PDF audio, InDesign may be using an Acrobat Pro plug-in that Apple's Preview has no means of detecting, or using. Same story with Adobe Acrobat JavaScript (AcroJS) in a PDF.

Although Nitro PDF Pro (aka PDFpen Pro 13) can attach an audio file to the PDF, and even play it contextually via a Preview menu item, or double-clicking (Apple Music), it is not in the body of the PDF and one must know beforehand it is an attachment.
