Does the OEM A2251 Apple Macbook Pro 13" also contain a microphone?

Exactly what the title asks. I recently had this replaced and the microphone suddenly seems very 'fuzzy'

Yes. All MacBooks MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros contain built-in microphones. In some cases multiple microphones.

The A2251, or 2020 13" Intel MacBook Pro contains a 3 array mic with directional beamforming.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) - Technical Specifications

You wouldn't get anything at all, if it had no mic. Being fuzzy indicates there is a Mic that is picking up audio at least.

You can check your sound inputs and outputs in System Preferences ➜ Sound.

It is definitely picking up sound, just like it is behind a static filter. I test recorded myself with a few different devices. When I switch to my headphone mic it sounds great. When it is my mac's built in... that is when it is bad. I am wondering if the part is defective or maybe the installation wasn't right. I already checked the 'sound' area and even with making no noise, I can see on the visual measure-thingy (technical word), it is registering sporadic noise as though someone were moving sandpaper of the microphone.
