I'm trying to set the calendar up to remind me a week before mother's day and father's day, but after I set the alert if I leave the event it gets wiped. It doesn't seem to matter if I set it for this event only or all future events. This is on the Australian Holidays calendar.
Set reminders stay for other calendars I have.
Anyone know why this is happening and/or how to fix it?

You subscribe to this calendar. You do not own it. You are not authorized to change it.
Place the appropriate events and their notifications in your personal calendar.
Start by setting the first occurrence.
Next choose the repeat option “Custom”.
Then choose “Yearly” and turn on “Day of Week”.
