You can set it to not repeat by adding the “Wait to Return” action at the end of the queue. So it will essentially mark the automation as “paused” until you open the app again. You could also add a notification reminder to delete the shortcut after that so when it reactivates you’re notified :)

I'm afraid your only option is do-not-disturb mode. In the meantime, set it up so that if your mom has an actual emergency she can call or text three times in a row to finally get through.

This is absolutely ridiculous!! Overly complicated. Need a separate app. Makes no logical sense. Doesn’t fulfill the need. Major major fail and eye roll here

This is not a solution -- it's a dodge.

And it's wrong. "Create personal automation" does not appear; "New Automation" does, but there are no instructions for how to create a new automation.

I tried this and it’s awful. Set a later time to send a message, selected 2 individual recipients and it sent 2 messages right away to both people. Fantastic….

This is WAY too complicated. I don’t even know where the shortcuts app is, and I’ve had iOS products for years….Thanks anyway, though.
