Apple Lightning to USB 3 Adapter not charging phone or communicating to DAC after iOS 16.5 update

Sou usuario de um iPhone 13 PRO MAX e o adaptador está funcionando normalmente no iOS 16.5, talvez devido ao carregador rápido Typo C.

mas no iPad 8th mesmo com o carregador rápido não consegue carregar utilizando o Lightning para USB 3 Camera adapter, Tentei fazer downgrade para o 16.4.1 mas diz que não está assinado, o iTunes rejeita a versão.

On the web i've read a solution: a Belkin 20w wall plug with a usb-c to lighting cable. This also DOESN'T WORK and sets you back around 70€ (where I live). I still can't connect USB devices, but my ipad can charge through a useless usb connector now.

I am a musician. I use the Apple camera connection kit to connect my audio interface. After checking I thought my adapter was dead due to old age. So I ordered a new one from Apple online store. In India it costs Rs. 4000/-($48.5). I got it today. Moreover, it also didn’t charge my iPad. So fool I am! I didn’t think about a problem due to version update. To me this is a very costly otg. And now I cannot return it because I opened the package. It might not happen to me if the store stopped selling the device during the problematic period.

I have an iPhone 13 and an iPhone X. The Apple Lightning to USB adapter does not yet work on these devices even after the update to iOS 16.5.1. The adapter does not charge even with a 20W charger. It seems the issue is not solved yet and it is getting very frustrating.

I got tired of waiting for a fix, so downgraded from my usb hub to 2. It works, so will leave it.

I've noticed so many recent updates to other products have had consequences. I will stop all automatic updates.

The adapter works; I tried it on a very old iPad running 12.xx and it was fine. I also have found that if I plug it in and open photos myself, the SD card appears in the app and I can import pictures. It appears that somewhere in the last few releases Apple has broken the mechanism where the OS recognizes that when the adapter is plugged in with an SD card, it is supposed to start photos and open the card for import. The files app will also recognize the SD card.

I use the adapter for my audio interface with Cubasis on the iPad. The communication is OK but the iPad do not charge any more since OS 16.5

Just because you opened the package doesn't mean you can't return it. The product has a warranty. If it doesn't work take it back.

I think it’s more likely that you need a new lightning to usb adapter.

Habe das selbe Problem mit dem Adapter. Wollte ihn gerade mal wieder benutzen aber Fehlanzeige.

Was soll das Apple? F…..🤬. Produkte von Apple standen mal für unkomplizierte Nutzung und Zuverlässigkeit, und jetzt? Mittlerweile ist es nur noch fehlerhafter Nobelschrott zu überteuerten Preisen. Mit mir NICHT mehr !!! !!!

I recently discovered I had the a similar problem with the last release of 16.4.x. Very distressing as I was in Europe at the time and hoped to backup pictures from my Nikon. The SD card to lighting adaptor was not recognized by the OS.

I spoke with them today also and I made an appointment for tomorrow because of it.

It would have been nice if they communicated with registered owners and informed us of a problem they were working on. Funny how we are bombarded with junk messages from everyone.
