I've set up my new Mac Mini M2.
I used 'Migration Assistant' to copy the system from my Macbook Air M1 - which has Touch ID enabled and working well.
I have been trying to set up touch ID on my Magic Keyboard.
When I open the 'System Settings' there is no 'Touch ID' option in the side-bar.
I've attached a screen shot.
Any suggestions?

This is a long shot, but have you restarted your Mac mini after the keyboard was paired with it?
Is the keyboard paired to use with any other devices?

Yes. I've restarted it several times.
I have tried restarting it with the keyboard attached to the Mac Mini with the USB-C - Lightning connector.
I have tried restarting it with the keyboard only connected through bluetooth
I've tried powering the keyboard on and off
