.Media Preferences.plist appears on desktop

How can I stop this from appearing on my desktop? (Monterey Macbook Pro M1)

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.0

Hello Lisa Vogt,


We'd be happy to help. A .plist is a preference file for an application. With the Music app open, click Music > Settings > Files, does the iTunes Music Media location point to the iTunes Media folder? If not, that may be the cause of the issue. If it points to your desktop, change it to the correct folder and restart your computer.
