Trouble Migrating

New mbp - OS 12.2.1. Was unable to use Migration Assistant because it wouldn't recognize my older mbp, but I was able to network the two through "Connect to Server". so, I have manually migrated most everything. However, when I was copying the contents of my "Sites" folder to the new mbp, I had to interrupt the copying. Later, when I tried to resume copying, the "Sites" folder on the new laptop was greyed out. when I click on the refresh button to the right, I get a window saying "Copying 'Sites' has paused....When I try to click on the "Finish Copying" button below, I get an alert that says '"Sites" can't be modified or deleted because it's required by macOS.'

This makes no sense, as I was totally able to modify it the first time.

What am I missing? and how can I fix this?
