Whatsapp on new iPhone 14 can't access camera

I just bought a new iPhone 14 Plus with iOs 16.4.1. I have been using Whatsapp daily, but today it decided to stop working. If I try to take a picture in Whatsapp or try to answer or make a video call, it tells me I need to change the permissions. But the permissions are already changed. This is starting to drive me nuts.

Here is what I have tried so far:

Going in to options for Whatsapp and turning the Camera Access off and on again.
Restarting Whatsapp (multiple times)
Restarting the phone (twice)

Maybe this is an issue with the new update? I have no idea. But I use it daily for video so this is very annoying.

Troubleshooting iOS 14 Plus iSight Camera:

A. Update your iPhone:

iOS 16.5 is out, so try upgrading to that. Just know that once you have installed the update, you cannot downgrade from there. Have a Computer Handy? If so, try using a computer to update. Go here: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip

B. Report this to Apple:

Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.

Comment: that it is after installing iOS15 when the issue began. Include the TUL of this thread.
Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
Proceed from there aw necessary
