Apple Fitness Plus Freezing around 15 minutes

Please help. For the past several weeks, my Apple fitness workouts are freezing at approximately 15 minutes. The gear will spin and then I have to exit the workout and resume it to get back in. Then my watch counts it as two short workouts instead of one. I have already restarted both devices and checked for updates at it’s still doing it. It happens with 20 minute workouts. I also did a 45 minute yoga and it froze at 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 45 minutes. It is very frustrating. 10 minute workouts are fine but I prefer doing longer workouts. I plug my phone directly through the box of my frame tv. Please help.

I am having the same problem. When I am using Apple Fitness either plugged into a projector or a TV it always freezes at about 15 minutes. This is a known issue, is there anything Apple is doing to fix this?

Hi LauraOrsinger,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand Apple Fitness+ is freezing mid workout, and we want to help. It sounds like you've already done a lot of great troubleshooting, but we want to make sure not steps are missed. Start with the steps to resolve unexpected app behavior like you're experiencing here:

1. Close and reopen the app
Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

2. Restart your device
Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

3. Check for updates
To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.

4. Delete the app, then redownload it
Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

See more about those steps here: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support

If those steps don't resolve this issue, reach out for additional assistance here: Contact - Official Apple Support

Thanks.
