Gathering printer information keeps coming up when I want to print on my phone but no the iPad.

How do I clear the ‘gathering printer information’ on my phone when I want to print?

I have switched off printer, phone, reset wifi, router, upgraded to 16.5 and cleared cookies but still happens.

When I switch on the phone it hasn’t the message but says ‘No printer selected’ and when I select the Brother printer the ‘gathering printer information’ comes up again and won’t swop to the other Hp printer.

I had this same issue when our iPhone updated to IOS 17... Apple help tried all the usual things that did not work. Finally, they asked if I had updated my printers firmware. I updated the firmware and sure enough it was working again. Before the update to the firmware all of our updated iPhones would not select the printer, however, our old iPhone with IOS 14.. could print fine. So try updating your printers firmware.

What did you do to solve it? Shouldn’t need to contact them. They need to solve it. I don’t see my printer at all now!

Same issue since updating IOS on iPhone and iPad with my HP printer. I don’t have a VPN installed so can’t work out what to do to fix the problem

Printer selected, shows my printer, printer is gathering information, then pops back to no printer selected it won’t print

Despite everything, my printer will not connect to iPhone. Allows one page to be printed and then shows that printer not recognised
