Airplay icon missing in Apple Music for Ventura macOS

Why did Apple delete the Airplay icon on Apple Music for the latest releases of Ventura macOS? Their support group didn't know this was done and only realized it after extensive troubleshooting. I've reported this feature issue on Apple Product Feedback but wanted to understand how a user group can create pressure on Apple to reinstate a feature that is available on every other product that support Apple Music (including older Macs, MacBooks, iPhones, etc.) except the latest macOS update on the latest Macs. This feature is important for anyone wanting to output Apple Music running on a Mac to external speakers/home theatre while being able to keep the output of the Mac for other apps/websites running on the Mac.

Are you running macOS Ventura 13.3.1 or 13.4 on an iMac? It doesn’t show on mine and didn’t show on Apple’s support iMacs. You must have a different operating system or a different hardware platform. Please let me know what you’re running.

Very strange. I have an iMac 27” from 2020 where it doesn’t show up. Not sure what the Apple advisors were running. The advisors indicated it was macOS related as Apple Music is embedded in the macOS. Maybe isolated to a specific platform which makes it more of a bug than a feature change that Apple advisors were saying. Worth another call into them. Thanks for the feedback…

Thanks. I’ll feed this back to Apple support. Seems like a big to me. Hopefully they can figure what’s happening on my iMac and their iMacs. Would be good to understood anyone else is seeing this and what their configuration is. Please let me know.
