CarPlay not working after iOS 16.5 Update
after upgrading my iPhone Pro Max from 16.4.1 to 16.5 my Carplay does not work. I cannot download back to 16.4.1, will 16.6.1 restore carplay?

I wish I had read this before we bought our new iPhone 14 Pros today and had this problem. It connects via Bluetooth but will not connect to CarPlay so I can’t access my map or anything. REALLY ****** OFF.

In my case it isn’t the car….. my old iPhone still works perfect…. New one on latest IOS doesnt
Mine is Honda….. so again suggests IOS as multiple car manufacturers
My car does not do updates. It isnt a tesla you know
Same with me. Stopped working yesterday but worked this morning and now stopped working again in the afternoon. Drive Hyundai with wired CarPlay. This update is def the issue for it.
CarPlay disconnected in my BMW after I downloaded iOS 16.6. I am unable to re-connect CarPlay or Bluetooth on my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
After the update, my vehicle showed no phone connected and the phone will not connect via Bluetooth or CarPlay.
So, there was nothing to disconnect and reconnect.
My BMW has no listing for my phone. It’s like there was never a phone paired with my vehicle.
My BMW doesn’t show up on the iPhone Bluetooth list.

In addition to Bluetooth, is there any pairing listed in iPhone CarPlay on the iPhone: Settings > General > CarPlay ?

16.6 worked for me
No. It was not required in my 8 before I updated to 16.5.1. Never used Siri before…
I was able to reconnect my iPhone 14 Pro Max to by BMW’s Bluetooth after I preformed a hard reset to my vehicle’s radio. Now, my CarPlay is working.
