I don’t know if you had time to read the rest of the discussion here or if it was on another forum for Apple where I saw the issue. I had this problem after I downloaded the 16.5 as did a lot of other people on different iPhones. And some people had it after downloading the 16. Apple finally fixed it with a 16.6 update is the latest one it’s not the 16.5.1(c) update . I was very upset with Apple because they never claimed that that caused the phone to get hot and to drain the battery quickly. I was going to go into Best Buy to exchange my phone because I have the warranty on it still. But after I downloaded the 16.6 iOS update, my phone was back to acting normal. It does not get hot and the battery doesn’t drain. It’s back to the way it was before the 16.5 update. So before you do anything I would try updating the to the 16.6 iOS update. Other people have also said online that help them and have fixed their phone also doing that. I am sorry I am dictating this on Siri so I’m sorry if it’s not understandable anyway take care and I hope this works for you bye

For about two months, probably after upgrading the iOS my battery on my 14 Pro will drain 80% in eight hours with all apps closed and in airplane mode or with wifi or with cellular. It came on suddenly, and Apple support has no solutions. And Apple care has no way of knowing what apps or services that are actually running in the background that’s causing the drain.

I am still irritated that Apple did Not come out & just say- that the iOS updates caused the problems!! We all

knew it was them!!’But when I called them to ask about it - they wouldn’t admit it might be the upgrades. But there were so many people online that were having problems - I love my Apple products but lately the Apple

Corp is very disappointing ! Not the poor techs that work for them - but the higher ups! I am so glad that they have repaired it though!

I have had the I phone 14 Pro for 6 weeks tops and this is what is happening!!!!

Battery life will drains very fast I can not even go half a day without a charge the charge takes a very long time to get the phone back to 100 percent over an hour. I keep getting a message that the phone is over heating it is NOT in a hot location what so ever. The volume is all over the place it will not stay constant when it is up all the way I still can not hear it very well however when my ear buds are link the alarm’s for messages and so forth are deafening I have seen on the forum that I am not the only one with these problems!!! I am so disappointed with this phone! I have gone back and tried all of the suggestions and none of them have solved this phone’s problems please help!!!!

I have been with Apple since long I haven’t faced this kind of issue since my iPhone 11 Pro I have used 11 pro ,12 pro max and 13 pro max and switched recently to 14 pro max exactly one month ago since day 2 I have noticed a battery issue it’s draining too fast how ever , like 2 days back I noticed my battery health dropped to 99 and today after visiting service center and just came out and checked the health it dropped to 98 I was shocked after seeing that I never faced this issue in my 13 pro max I have used 13 pro max( best battery life ) for almost 20 months what should I do now ?

I just got this phone maybe a month ago. My last new phone prior to this one was the 11 promax. When I first got the 11 promax I literally almost never had to charge it. It was amazing how long the battery lasted. Then about halfway through my ownership there was an iOS change and I've had battery problems ever since. I thought sure I was going to return it to my Halcyon days of barely having to charge, and that has so not been the case with this phone. It's not terrible like what people were describing with 16.5.1 I still had my 11 at that point so I don't know what that was like on this phone. But this phone clearly drains quickly even with pretty minimal usage. I don't know if it's the iOS or if anything can be done about it, but it's very disappointing.

I had the battery issues after the 1st

16 upgrades. Then they gave one that fixed it in my phone- but now I am having volume issues on my iPhone. People can't hear me talking, I sound garbled etc. I am hoping that after the latest upgrade that will help that but I am beginning to get nervous about upgrading also because if it isn't one thing it's another. And even with the battery issue on the phone, the Apple tech people were denying that they upgrade had anything to do with it. I don't blame them. They only work for Apple are told what to say. But it doesn't instill much trust in Apple does it? Is anybody else having any volume issues or anything with their phones?
