Name in all caps

Hello,

My laptop (MacBook Air) writes/changes my name in all caps. Even if I write my name with proper caps (first letters), it changes it to ALL CAPS.

I can't find where to disable this. I can only find to disable automatic caps for everything, but this is something I don't want to.

My name is also correct in the Contacts app.

Can someone help please?

Kind regards,

Niki

Maybe this is a case of spell corrector going rogue: try turning off the spell checking and see if it stops.

Or... maybe your child has been playing a prank on you...

I'd check System Settings->Keyboard->Text Replacements, and see if there is an entry for your name, like

Niki getting replaced by NIKI.

Thnx for the response. Text replacement is not the case.

However, it surely has something to do with spell check etc. If I turn down the option "check spelling automatically" (OS is in Dutch so I don't know the exact EN wording), it doesn't do it anymore.

How can I fix a rogue spell check / change it / remove it without disabling it entirely?

Kind regards,

Niki
