Keychain pop-ups asking for my password.

I keep getting pop-up windows saying things like "iCloudNotificationAgent wants to use the "login" keychain." Is it safe to enter my password? I am getting these pop-ups from multiple "apps" and they won't go away even after repeatedly hitting "Cancel". Tried to force quit everything and relaunch the Finder only to have my computer freeze for 2 hours before I was able to power it off.

Hi shuppie,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you're getting a repeated prompt to enter your password. You can address this using the following steps.

1. In the Keychain Access app  on your Mac, click “login” in the Keychains list.
2. Choose Edit > Change Settings for Keychain “login.”
3. Select the “Lock after” checkbox, then enter a number of minutes.
4. If you want to require a password each time the computer goes to sleep, select the “Lock when sleeping” checkbox.
5. Click Save.

You can find these steps in If your Mac keeps asking for your keychain password - Apple Support.

Regards.
