Unable to find a purchased movie on Apple TV

I purchased a movie a few years ago, I also had at some point deleted it from my library. Now when I go to find it I can't. The only option available is to go to the Apple TV store, repurchase the movie, then it says I've already bought it and that I can download it for free. I have selected that option but nothing happens and the movie has not re-downloaded into my library. How should I be able to access this movie?

Thanks.

There should be a small cloud icon you can click on to start the download. When clicked on the main image in your library, the cloud icon should turn into a checkmark. If you click on the movie poster to open the movie, there should be a circle with a "stop" square in the middle, that is the download progress bar. The circle will show a thicker section around it as it downloads.

Full disclosure, I tried it on a couple of different movies myself, and it's not actually downloading. There may be an issue with the iTunes Store at this time preventing the download.

The download circle just disappeared when trying to download a movie. Which is kind of strange, but is an issue with right iTunes store.

But yes, you should be able to download it, if everything is working correctly.
