Seems Apple has gone to great lengths to ensure hearing aids that are compatible can connect to iPhone.

Wondering what brand / model of hearing aids, and what the compatibility / instructions are, that came with them.

Also we do not know which MacOS version is installed on your MacBook Pro.,

or

whether the hearing aids are compatible with Mac, and if the firmware of the hearing aids is up-to-date.

The hearing aid manufacturer may have particular instructions for your hearing aids model on their website.

Eg: Connecting a computer and Phonak hearing aids or Laptop and Phonak hearing aids

Phonak: trouble-shooting: My hearing aids are not connecting to Mac computer or laptop - Phonak

Also: Many hearing aid manufacturers have a support team that may be able to help.
