Connect hearing aids with MacBook

I just bought state of the art Widex Connect 440 hearing aids. They connect fine with my iPhone and iPads. But my laptop (MacBook Air) can't see them, either in the Bluetooth settings, or under Accessibility. WHY NOT??? Please, can anybody help me?

Hey dunlace,

Bluetooth compatibility with your MFi hearing aids works a little differently with your Mac than it does with your iPhone and iPad in that it requires a newer Mac and bidirectional streaming. The hearing aids that you see marked with an astrix* on this list are bidirectional and compatible with a MacBook Air introduced in 2022 or later.

Kindest Regards.
