Just bought an iPhone 13 mini. Trying to set it up and transfer everything over from my iPhone 7. Says iCloud hasn’t been backed up in 44 weeks on iPhone 7, so trying to purchase more but correct password not working??

Bought an iPhone 13 mini. Trying to transfer everything over from an iPhone 7. Says iCloud hasn’t been backed up in 44 weeks. Trying to purchase storage so everything then updated properly and I can move it across. Try entering password (which is correct) but doesn’t work. Doesn’t say it’s incorrect, but disappears after I try to log in and just buffers.

Hello TheGent111,

If your Apple ID password is not working you can use these steps to reset it:

1. Tap Settings > your name > Password & Security.
2. Tap Change Password.
3. Enter your current password or device passcode, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Forgot your password?
4. Tap Change or Change Password.

Change your Apple ID password

If you're using the two-factor authentication security on your Apple ID account, make sure you're entering your verification code when you try to sign in as well.

Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication

Once you're able to get signed in on your iPhone 7, you can use these steps to change your storage plan:

1. Go to Settings, then tap your name.
2. Tap iCloud, then tap Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage. Or scroll down and tap Upgrade to iCloud+.
3. Tap Buy More Storage or Change Storage Plan.
4. Choose a plan and follow the onscreen instructions.

Upgrade to iCloud+

Once you have an adequate storage plan to start backing up the device, you can then navigate to Settings > name at the top > iCloud > iCloud Backup and select Backup Now to create a backup.
