How to Prevent Apple Music from Auto-launching when Bluetooth Headphones are Connected?

Every time I connect Bluetooth headphones to my Mac, Apple Music opens automatically. This is VERY annoying as I don't use Apple Music and do not intend to start.

How do I stop this form occurring? I have looked through all the settings and menus and cannot find a way to disable this.

The desired behavior is when I put my headphone on, they connect with the computer and nothing else occurs. No program should open by default, no sounds should play (unless already playing or as standard with the headphones), Apple music should not open not even in the background, and no other applications on the computer should open.

Just to be very clear, I do not want Apple Music to open and want to know how to stop it from opening when I put my Bluetooth headphones on, or when I touch my Bluetooth headphones to use the touch controls.

The only way I can find that works and doesn’t remove your music forever is to go to settings, general and iPhone storage. Select the music app and then select offload app. If you wanna reconnect the app again it’s as simple as downloading it again and all your music is still there. No other apps connect to my ear buds when I have them in…..at least not so far.

Yes, and it’s driving me INSANE. Every time I try to listen to something on an app, say Audible, or a Facebook live event, it stops after a few seconds and launches iTunes. I don’t have iTunes playing on my phone, so it doesn’t make SENSE to me that it would automatically launch just because I’ve activated something on Bluetooth. I get so angry when this happens because it MAKES NO SENSE, and it’s NOT something I asked for. Apple needs to wake up. I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates this “feature”
