apps uninstalling on startup
Every time I restart my mac half my apps uninstall themselves /disappear. I have moved them all to my applications but they also show up in locations with the option to eject them

It sounds like you are downloading the dmg files for the applications and are running them from the dmg without actually installing them, or copying the dmg to the Applications folder. You do have to mount the dmg and copy the file inside to the Applications folder or run the installer.
