Circle View Camera Off/Disabled When Setting Indicate Stream & Allow Recording

About a week ago my Circle View camera changed to "Off - This camera has been disabled." The camera is online and I am able to change the settings for both Home and Away to any of the settings, but the camera status never changes and it does not stream or record.

  • I have verifiedthe software for the camera, my home hubs (HomePods and Apple TV), and my iPhone are updated.
  • I only have a 2.4 Gh Wi-Fi network, so it is not a network speed problem.
  • I have turned off the camera off and back on to reset it.
  • I have two other Circle View camera and neither of them is having any problems.

I'm fresh out of ideas and would appreciate any suggestions.

I recently ran into the same (or a similar) problem. Plugged the camera back in (only really use it when I have to leave the dog for a bit), saw the "camera is online" message, then left and found out the camera was "disabled". When I got home, I figured out there's a button on the back. If you hit it, the status light should turn purple and it makes a beep. I tried it a couple times and it seems to toggle the camera on and off! Good luck

Thank you so much! That has to be the problem. I’m a thousand miles away from that camera right now, but I have another where I am now and was able to reproduce the condition exactly as you described. One of the last captures from the other camera was of a deer licking the camera. I bet it managed to press that button in the process. I’ll have to control for that when I get there, but at least I know it’s not malfunctioning.
