IPad Air 4 screen lifting up

I just noticed that my iPad Air 4’s screen lifting up and disconnecting from the frame on the bottom corners (if you’re holding it in portrait mode). The iPad is also bent at the bottom so this may be part of the problem but I’m not sure. I’ve also heard of batteries swelling and causing the screen to pop up. Is this an urgent issue or is it okay to keep using the iPad?

I would not continue to use that iPad. If the battery is swelling, there's a chance the screen could crack. Also, strange smells are a not good signs.

Power off the iPad and make an appointment at an Apple store for service.
